May Casual Meetup – Virtual

We are pleased to announce our May casual meetup is going ahead this coming Wednesday evening 6th May at 7:30. Unlike previous meetups, we will all be participating online via the Zoom platform.

In the leadup to the meeting, we’re looking to compile a short list of questions and pro tips that may be of particular use to our newer members. Please send in any suggestions by noon Wednesday so we can compile them for the meetup.

We look forward to (virtually) seeing everyone on Wednesday – possibly clutching a cheeky red, cool white, smooth spirit, or perhaps a wedge of lime drowning in a certain Mexican beer!

March Casual Meetup

Our next casual meetup is Wednesday, 4th March at 6:30pm at:

Mia Cucina Café
Unit 1, 45 Northside Drive,
Hillarys Boat Harbour Hillarys WA 6025

There currently are no EV chargers at Hillarys, although this entertainment precinct is an ideal location for the City of Joondalup to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to the proliferation of EV charging infrastructure.

Casual meetups are open to everyone including those who have never seen a Tesla before.

It’s an ideal opportunity to meet club members and to also see the cars in the flesh which we are all passionate about.

We hope to see you there and look forward to chatting about all things Tesla.

There is ample free parking adjacent to the cafe

TOCWA AGM

On November 3rd, TOCWA held its AGM at beautiful Millbrook Winery in Jarrahdale.  It was a lovely day for a drive out, even for those of us that couldn’t stay for lunch.   It was great to see so many in attendance, and see the car park full of new and old Teslas!

TOCWA’s new committee is – in Alphabetical Order:

Annie Atkins

Rob Dean

Martin Kane

Harald Murphy

Trevor Pinnington

Ken Taylor

We are yet to meet and assign roles/portfolios, but we’re pleased to welcome Trevor to the committee, and to get to work on the needs and wants of our members  here in WA.

To that end, we’ll be sending out a small survey to members this week to help us know what are the main priorities for this year – please give us as much or little feedback as you feel led!

It’s alive!

TOCWA is taking shape.  We now have our various documents in shape and will formally begin taking general membership soon.

Please feel free to send me any updates or WA ownership experiences to share.  We have a twitter feed at twitter.com/tesla_wa and a Facebook group at so feel free to also follow, join and communicate with us there.

First Committee Meeting

TOCWA’s first committee meeting will be held at The Left Bank
15 Riverside Road, East Fremantle on Tuesday 19th September at 5pm.

All are welcome to attend, this is the committee meeting at which we will finalise the Rules etc. We intend that committee meetings will be open to all members (or in this case prospective members), but obviously the committee are responsible for making the decisions on behalf of the Association.

The inaugural committee is Rob Dean, Harald Murphy, Annie Atkins, Martin Kane, Ken Taylor and David Lloyd
